My stay at Hotel Energie Shawinigan was mostly pleasant, with a great location near the river and downtown. though I encountered some issues. The large beds were comfortable, but the mattresses were too soft for my liking, which made for a bit of a restless night. I appreciated the complimentary water with lemon and the well-equipped fitness center, but the strong chlorine smell in the pool area was off-putting.
